About Mr. Malloy

After graduating from Eastern Oregon University in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Multidisciplinary Studies, I have been teaching at East Elementary.  Making learning fun and engaging for my students has always been my passion.  Using technology to help my students learn is also important to me. I am a firm believer in active learning, and I try to maintain a very lively and interactive classroom. To me, teaching is not about lecturing to students; it is about presenting concepts, information, and materials to students in a way they each can make sense of using their own life experience. I try to accomplish this not only in my lesson introductions, but also in the questions that structure our classroom discussions, as well as in weekly writing assignments.
