In this video, Sam shows teachers how to use Seesaw at the elementary level. This education technology tutorial is aimed toward teachers who might be using Seesaw as their primary Learning Management System, and in it, you'll learn how to set up student accounts without using email addresses, how to optimize the settings and set up an organization system, how to invite families, and how to use Seesaw's pre-made lessons, as well as create your own lessons. Then, you'll also learn what Seesaw looks like from the student end.
Seesaw is a brilliant, free learning management system to help teachers share activities with children during distance learning. This tutorial show you exactly how to set it up from beginning, setting and activities.
QUESTIONS THAT CAME UP DURING THE LIVE CHAT PREMIER OF THIS VIDEO:

-HOW DO I INTRODUCE SEESAW TO MY STUDENTS IF THEY HAVE NEVER USED IT BEFORE? i'd suggest filming a video of yourself showing students/parents how to access it step by step. I can make a video like this soon.

-CAN STUDENTS SEE OTHER STUDENT'S WORK? IF SO, CAN THEY COMMENT? Yes and No. There are settings to change this.
I have been creating lessons to be used in Seesaw during distance learning and I think it is an amazing app/website for primary students! It is so user-friendly and great for remote learning. In this video, I walk you through how I upload PDFs and turn them into lessons, how I create my own lessons with moveable images in Seesaw, how I attach videos and links, and also how you can share your activities with others in Seesaw! Check out the video to see if you could use this fun app in your classroom!

Designed for PreK-2nd grade teachers who are brand new to Seesaw, this hands-on session will go step by step from downloading the app to getting started. We will explore the creative tools within Seesaw, and you will experience Seesaw from the student perspective adding posts during our session. We recommend you have two devices. Join the webinar from a computer. Then, on a second device install the app Seesaw: The Learning Journal. It's the CLASS version. Seesaw works on all devices. No need to create an account, just install the free app. If your second device is a computer, just go to the website app.seesaw.me. - - - RESOURCES:
